In Kyiv, broadcasting of television channels was halted due to attacks on data centers on September 26

Russian strikes on data centers in Kyiv caused disruptions in the operations of television channels, providers, and digital services. Among them are ‘Novyny Live’, ‘We Are Ukraine’, ‘Army TV’, and ‘Kolo.TB’. Earlier, we reported on internet providers in Kyiv.

Disruptions of television channels and services in Kyiv on September 26, 2026 

Attacks on Kyiv’s data centers began on September 23. At that time, disruptions occurred in the operations of providers Utel and ‘Pavutyna’, the internet systems of the ‘Knigarnya Ye’ bookstore chain, and the file-sharing service Fex.NET. One of the data centers was destroyed, affecting customers of the hosting provider MiroHost. According to its owner Oleksandr Olshansky, this impacted about 5% of the company's customers.

Later, the ‘Datagroup’ data center and the Cosmonova site in the ‘Protasov’ business center were hit. As a result of the attacks, the broadcasts of the ‘Novyny Live’, ‘We Are Ukraine’, which is part of the telethon, and ‘Army TV’ were temporarily suspended. Additionally, video players on the ‘Suspilne’ website ceased to operate.

The disruption also affected telecommunications infrastructure: earlier attacks on data centers had already disrupted communication in the capital and other regions.

What disruptions did providers report

The provider ‘Kolo.TB’ reported issues in its operations. Its specialists are changing traffic routes and deploying backup capacities to restore services.

The national veterans' support program ‘Without Borders’ also warned about unstable operation of the application: some functions may be temporarily unavailable. Disruptions occurred after a series of strikes on data centers that support various online services.

Damage to the ‘Datagroup’ data center was yet another consequence of the attacks on Kyiv's digital infrastructure. The company reported on the status of the facility and client data.
