Man Faces Charges for Trying to Smuggle Drugs to Arson Suspect Inside Kyiv Courtroom

According to Главком: A 44-year-old man is set to stand trial in Kyiv after attempting to pass narcotics to an individual accused of setting fire to vehicles belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, right inside the Darnytskyi District Court. He tried to hand over methadone and potent medications, including diphenhydramine and zopiclone, to an acquaintance who was facing charges for arson.

The incident unfolded during a court session when the man brought a plastic container filled with pills. The defendant in the vehicle arson case attempted to swallow the pills when the escort noticed the exchange. A subsequent forensic examination confirmed the presence of methadone, diphenhydramine, and zopiclone in the seized tablets.
