Case in Kyiv

According to Прокуратура Київ: A 26-year-old man in Kyiv is under suspicion of engaging in sexual acts with a 15-year-old boy and coercing him into providing paid sexual services. According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, juvenile prosecutors are handling the case. The suspect first contacted the teenager in September 2025 through the Telegram platform, after the boy posted a request for temporary housing in the capital.

The teenager had recently enrolled in a vocational school in Kyiv and was being raised solely by his mother. As part of the housing arrangement, the boy was expected to hand over his scholarship money and assist with household chores. On the very first night, the suspect plied the teenager with alcohol and then engaged in sexual intercourse with him.

Investigation and Consequences

Reports indicate that the suspect orchestrated at least three instances in which the boy provided sexual services to other men, receiving a total of just 8,000 Ukrainian hryvnias in return.

  • Sexual acts with a person under 16 years of age
  • Human trafficking

Authorities are actively investigating the case.

This incident highlights the critical need to protect children and young people, especially in today’s digital landscape, where the risks of minors being drawn into dangerous situations are increasing.
