Bogatyrska Street in Kyiv to Close for Two Weeks of Repairs

Traffic Restrictions on Bogatyrska Street

According to Главком: From May 29 through June 7, traffic on Bogatyrska Street in Kyiv’s Obolon District will be partially restricted due to road maintenance. Crews will be laying a new top layer of asphalt concrete on the section between the KLO gas station and Kurenivska Street. During the work, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, running along the opposite side of the roadway. If weather conditions deteriorate, the schedule may be adjusted.

Major Roadwork Across the Capital

In addition, large-scale road improvements have started on the Borshchahivka route. At the intersection of the Ring Road and Lesya Kurbasa Avenue, traffic restrictions will remain in place until July 5. Meanwhile, partial traffic limits are in effect on Hostomelske Highway in the Sviatoshyn District through May 31.

Beyond these projects, the capital is also carrying out a major overhaul of Miska Street, which began in March. Road workers have already installed over 600 meters of new, larger-diameter storm drainage on Miska Street, and preparations for the road base ahead of future paving are ongoing. These efforts reflect Kyiv’s continued push to upgrade its road infrastructure.

This work is part of the city’s broader strategy to modernize its road network, aimed at improving safety and travel comfort.

While the traffic restrictions may cause temporary inconvenience for residents and drivers, they are expected to reduce congestion and enhance road conditions in Kyiv over the long term.

For instance, restrictions at Kyiv's South Bridge began on May 1, highlighting the city's commitment to enhancing its infrastructure.
