In Kyiv, on June 23, the traffic scheme for buses No. 46 and No. 112 has been temporarily changed due to a food fair held on Ivan Mykytenko Street. The restrictions will be in place until the end of the market, and public transport will be detoured around certain sections of the routes. This is reported by Kyivpasstrans.

Temporary changes were implemented on Tuesday due to the traditional food fair held on Ivan Mykytenko Street in the Dnipro district of the capital.

Buses on routes No. 46 and No. 112 reach Mykola Kybalychych Street according to the usual traffic scheme, after which they continue their route around.

In particular, the transport proceeds along Iryna Bekeshkina Street to the transport interchange at the intersection with Ivan Mykytenko Street.

The changes pertain to trips departing from the metro stations «Livoberezhna» and «Lukianivska». Buses travel to the blockage without changes.

After that, the transport bypasses the area where the fair is held and returns to its route through a designated temporary traffic scheme.

Kyivpasstrans encouraged passengers to take the restrictions into account when planning their trips and to check the updated information about public transport operations in advance whenever possible.

Fairs regularly affect transport traffic

Food fairs are held almost weekly in different districts of Kyiv. Due to the closure of certain streets, public transport is often redirected to temporary traffic schemes.

Such changes usually last only for the duration of the trading and are canceled after the trading areas close.

It is noted that earlier the Kyiv City Council rejected a petition to prevent the increase in public transport fare to 30 UAH. At the same time, several other petitions have been registered on the city council’s website calling not to increase tariffs for passengers.

It is reminded that in Kyiv, partial traffic restrictions on one of the key transport arteries in the Pechersk district were implemented for almost a month.
