In Kyiv, an important road will be closed: drivers warned about the major repair of the overpass

The communal enterprise 'Kyivavtodor' reported that the overpass was built in 1990 and has not undergone major repairs throughout its existence.

In Kyiv, starting from July 3, a major repair of the overpass at the intersection of Mykola Bazhan Avenue and the Dnipro Embankment near the Osokorky metro station has begun. The work will continue approximately until August 2026, which will lead to partial traffic restrictions on this section.

Special services will carry out the work in stages, starting with traffic restrictions on half of the overpass on the Dnipro Embankment towards 'Osokorky'. Road traffic in both directions will be organized on the other side of the overpass.

During the repair, vehicles will operate according to a temporary traffic organization scheme that has been agreed with the city's patrol police. Additionally, extra warning signs will be installed with information about detours around the construction area.

Please note that on July 4, 7, and 8, traffic restrictions for vehicles are planned due to expected heat in Kyiv.

Kyiv has started major repairs of the overpass on Mykola Bazhan Avenue, which will lead to traffic restrictions on this section until August 2026. This repair is the first one since the structure was built in 1990.
