The 16th Odesa Film Festival has started in Kyiv: who performed at the ceremony
According to glavcom.ua: The 16th Odesa International Film Festival (OIFF) began on Wednesday, September 24, in the capital and will last until October 4. This year, the ceremony was hosted by TV presenters Dasha Trebuhova, Lyudmila Barbіr, and Yana Brenze. The special guest was the defender of Ukraine, innovator bandurist Ivan Tkalenko, who combined traditional sounds of the bandura with electronics and unconventional acoustic effects. Also at the ceremony, singer Olya Tsybulskaya performed, who, together with the ballet, raised the energy of the event to a higher level.
The General Director of OIFF, Anna Machukh, emphasized that the festival has been an important cultural event in Ukraine for many years and is held in Kyiv for security reasons. The President of OIFF, Viktoria Tigipko, underscored the importance of Ukrainian cinema as a voice of truth and resilience on the international stage.
Currently, OIFF continues its development in new conditions, adapting to the current situation and continuing to support Ukrainian cinematic art. Participation in the festival allows Ukrainian filmmakers and guests of the event to exchange ideas, find new forms of expression, and maintain a cultural dialogue.
