Kyiv to Restrict Traffic for One Week Due to Asphalt Repairs
Traffic Restrictions in Kyiv
According to Главком: From June 27 through July 3, traffic along Leonid Kadenyuk Avenue in Kyiv will be partially restricted as crews carry out asphalt concrete repairs. The work, managed by Dnipro Road Maintenance Unit (SHEU), aims to resurface and upgrade the roadway.
Meanwhile, a major renovation of Mіska Street-ongoing since March-continues in the capital. So far, over 600 meters of new storm drainage pipes have been installed as part of this project.
Temporary Bans on Heavy Trucks
Additionally, temporary restrictions on heavy truck traffic are enforced when temperatures exceed +28°C. These rules apply to vehicles weighing more than 24 tons or with an axle load over 7 tons. The decision was made by Kyivavtodor, the city's road authority.
The repair work on Leonid Kadenyuk Avenue and Mіska Street is part of a broader strategy to improve Kyiv’s road infrastructure. These efforts are expected to enhance safety and comfort for both drivers and pedestrians.
The hot-weather restrictions on heavy trucks also reflect a commitment to reducing road stress and preserving pavement integrity-key factors for the long-term durability of urban streets.
As roadworks continue to reshape Kyiv's infrastructure, another key route will also be affected. The closure of Naberezhne Shosse for repairs highlights the city's ongoing commitment to enhancing road safety and efficiency. These improvements not only aim to provide a smoother driving experience but also contribute to the overall modernization of urban transport systems in the capital.
