Running from June 29 to July 6, the display is organized by the Andriy Parubiy Charity Foundation. Visitors can explore photographs and materials that highlight key chapters of Parubiy’s life, including:

  • his role as commandant of the Maidan and head of the Maidan Self-Defense during the Revolution of Dignity;
  • his work in parliament;
  • his international engagements;
  • his involvement in securing the Tomos of autocephaly for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

A dedicated section showcases Parubiy’s poetry, along with personal memories shared by his father and older brother.

The Tragic Fate of Andriy Parubiy

Andriy Parubiy was fatally shot on August 30, 2025, in Lviv. The attacker, disguised as a courier, fired eight shots from a pistol. The suspect was apprehended on the night of September 1 in the Khmelnytskyi region. Investigators determined that the 53-year-old Lviv resident was acting as an agent for Russian intelligence services. Since 2024, he had been passing information about Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Lviv. Following orders from a handler in Russia, he received a Makarov pistol with ammunition, surveilled the politician, and planned his escape.

After the murder, the suspect attempted to destroy evidence, but law enforcement later recovered the silenced weapon in a forest. Forensic analysis confirmed his involvement in the killing.

The investigation into Parubiy’s murder has been completed, and an indictment has been sent to court against the 53-year-old accused. He faces charges including:

  • high treason;
  • attempted assassination of a statesman;
  • public calls for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order;
  • illegal possession of weapons;
  • glorification of Russian aggression.

This exhibition in Kyiv serves as a solemn tribute to Andriy Parubiy, especially significant amid Ukraine’s ongoing conflict. The materials on display not only highlight his contributions to the nation’s fight for independence but also underscore the dangers faced by Ukrainian public figures. Parubiy’s assassination stands as a stark reminder of the threats targeting political leaders in Ukraine, emphasizing the critical need for security in the face of external aggression.
