In Kyiv, a dealer was arrested: chocolate with psilocybin mushrooms worth a million hryvnias

According to Прокуратура Київ: In Kyiv, law enforcement discovered a chocolate dealer who was hiding psychotropic mushrooms inside. A 31-year-old resident of Kyiv was charged with growing and selling these substances. He was growing psilocybin mushrooms at home, drying them, and selling them in chocolate.

During a search, law enforcement seized about 2 kg of candies with mushrooms, as well as everything necessary for growing and processing these substances. According to estimates, the value of the seized goods on the 'black' market exceeds one million hryvnias. The price of chocolates with mushrooms ranged from 2200 to 3400 hryvnias depending on the amount of mushrooms.

The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention, and criminal liability for such actions provides for punishment of up to twelve years in prison and confiscation of property.

A crime of growing and selling psychotropic substances in chocolate has been identified in Kyiv. The suspect faces serious consequences for such actions, and law enforcement ensured his detention. The investigation continues to establish all circumstances and possible accomplices in this criminal group.
