Trams and buses in Kyiv will be closed
Зміни в громадському транспорті Києва: з 25 квітня трамваї та автобуси не будуть курсувати.

Repair Work on Brovarskyi Avenue

According to Главком: Starting April 25, 2023, repair work on Brovarskyi Avenue in Kyiv will force the suspension of several tram and bus routes. Specifically, trams No. 4, 5, 27, 28, 32, and 35, along with buses No. 59 and 2-TR, will cease operation. To compensate, new temporary routes have been introduced to maintain public transport for residents.

The repairs are scheduled to continue until November 30, 2023, during which traffic will be completely blocked on the overpass near the Chernihivska metro station. This restriction applies to all vehicle types, including trams, at the intersection of Myropilska Street and Brovarskyi Avenue.

New Public Transport Routes

To ensure continued service during this period, several new routes have been launched. For instance, tram No. 22-K will run from the Reinforced Concrete Plant to Lisova metro station. Trams No. 23-K and No. 33-K will operate from the Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant to Lisova metro station. Additionally, a temporary tram route No. 25 will connect Pozniaky metro station with the Reinforced Concrete Plant.

Among the newly introduced bus routes, notable ones include:

  • Bus No. 33-T: from the Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant to Chernihivska metro station.
  • Bus No. 70-D: linking Livoberezhna metro station with Raiduzhny station.
  • Bus No. 118-D: from Politekhnichnyi Instytut station to Lisova station.
  • Bus No. 4-T: from Myloslavska station to Raiduzhny station.
  • Bus No. 5-T: from Serzha Lyfaria Street to Raiduzhny station.
  • Bus No. 22-TK: from Voskresenskyi Avenue to Lisova station.
  • Bus No. 28-T: from Myloslavska Street to Lisova station.
  • Bus No. 35-T: from Serzha Lyfaria Street to Lisova station.

These measures aim to keep public transport running smoothly during the Brovarskyi Avenue repairs and minimize inconvenience for passengers.

The Brovarskyi Avenue renovation is a key part of city efforts to upgrade infrastructure and improve road safety. The temporary route adjustments are designed to maintain accessible transit for Kyiv residents. Commuters are advised to stay updated on the new routes to avoid disruptions during the construction period.

As the repair work on Brovarskyi Avenue affects public transport in Kyiv, it's essential for commuters to stay informed about other ongoing road closures in the city and surrounding areas.
