According to Главком: The Ukrainian capital has officially launched its 2024 fountain season, with 27 water features now running across the city. According to the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation, the operating hours vary by location-some start between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, while others begin at 10:00 AM and continue until 6:00 PM. Most fountains shut down between 9:00 and 10:00 PM, giving residents and visitors ample time to enjoy the displays well into the evening.

Here’s a district-by-district breakdown of the fountains currently in operation:

  • Holosiivskyi District: A fountain in the square on Ivana Fedorova Street.
  • Darnytskyi District: Fountains in Pozniaky Park and Partyzanskoi Slavy Park.
  • Desnianskyi District: A fountain in the Vysotskyi-Bykov Square.
  • Dniprovskyi District: Fountains in Peremoha Park and Avrora Park.
  • Obolonskyi District: Fountains in squares at 2-V Volodymyra Ivasiuka Avenue (Garden of Stones) and 6 Obolonska Square.
  • Podilskyi District: Fountains in squares named after Petro Sahaidachnyi and Hryhorii Skovoroda, Shchekavytska Square, and Kurenivskyi Park.
  • Pecherskyi District: A fountain in the square on Arkhitektora Horodetskoho Street.
  • Sviatoshynskyi District: Sovky Park.
  • Shevchenkivskyi District: The highest concentration of fountains, including three in Taras Shevchenko Park, two in Volodymyrska Hirka Park, and others in Zolotovoritskyi, Munichskyi, Ivan Kotliarevskyi, Syretskyi, Literaturnyi squares, Square No. 2 on Volodymyrskyi Proezd, Lytovskyi Square, and the ShRDA estate.
