Kyiv Police Detain Two Men for Illegal Possession and Sale of PVP

According to Прокуратура Київ: Authorities in Kyiv have apprehended two men suspected of acquiring and storing the psychoactive substance PVP with the intention to distribute it. The Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv has formally charged the suspects under parts 2 and 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses drug trafficking offenses. During the arrests, law enforcement seized more than 300 individual packages of the drug, which were being sold through covert drop points known as “zakladkas.”

One suspect was found with 30 ready-to-sell packages at the time of detention. The second was arrested several days later at a rented apartment, where officers uncovered over 300 pre-packaged doses of the psychoactive substance. In a desperate attempt to destroy evidence, one man tried flushing the drugs down the toilet, setting them on fire, and throwing them out the window. He also smashed his phone to hinder investigators from identifying his accomplices. Both individuals are currently held in custody, with the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office publicizing the case.
