According to Главком: In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, emergency response crews have finished stabilization work at the Kradrat shopping center, which sustained damage during a heavy bombardment on May 24, 2026. According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, the operation spanned three days. During that time, rescue teams removed compromised cladding and shattered windows from the structure.
Hazardous structural elements were dismantled across a total area of 2,900 square meters. The effort involved 15 personnel and four units of specialized equipment. As a result of these actions, the risk of further collapse of the mall’s framework was eliminated.
Aftermath of the Attack
The assault on May 24, 2026, left 87 people injured in Kyiv, including three minors. Reports also indicate that the residence of Albania’s ambassador to Ukraine was affected by the shelling.
The completion of emergency repairs at Kradrat mall marks a significant step in restoring Kyiv’s infrastructure following the strike.
