Emergency services received the report at 7:24 PM, with firefighters arriving on the scene by 7:35 PM. During the firefighting operation, a woman inside the burning apartment climbed over the balcony railing and fell. She was handed over to an ambulance crew for hospitalization.

Explosion in Pecherskyi District
Earlier, on June 24, an explosion occurred in the Pecherskyi district on Mykoly Mikhnovskoho Boulevard. The blast happened inside a ground-floor apartment being used as an office space. The shockwave shattered windows and damaged the balcony. Preliminary reports suggest the fire was triggered by an emergency operation of a backup power supply system.
Both incidents highlight the critical need for safety measures in residential and office spaces within urban environments. The Holosiivskyi fire underscores the risks posed by limited access for emergency responders, while the Pecherskyi explosion reveals potential hazards linked to electrical systems. Authorities and relevant services continue their investigations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The recent incidents in Kyiv, including the fire in Holosiivskyi district, raise urgent questions about fire safety in urban settings. In a related event, an abandoned building fire highlights the dangers posed by neglected structures. Such occurrences not only endanger residents but also complicate emergency response efforts, emphasizing the need for improved safety measures across the city.
