Kyiv's Heating Crisis: Two Major Power Plants Crippled in Attacks
Status of Kyiv's Combined Heat and Power Plants
According to ХВИЛЯ: Attacks on Kyiv's energy infrastructure have severely damaged two critical thermal power stations. According to Desnianskyi District Head Maksym Bakhmatov, the CHPP-4 facility has been completely destroyed, while CHPP-6 has sustained damage estimated at 80%.
Bakhmatov outlined the service areas impacted by the destruction of CHPP-6:
- Desnianskyi District
- Obolonskyi District
- Dniprovskyi District
- Parts of Darnytskyi District
The now-destroyed CHPP-4 provided heating services for:
- Dniprovskyi District
- Darnytskyi District
