According to glavcom.ua: Yesterday, an unfortunate incident occurred in Dnipro Park Kremenchuk: two girls aged 14 and 15 were injured while riding the ride 'Lavka'. During the ride's motion, the safety barrier opened, and the children fell to the ground. Both girls sustained injuries, the police reported.

At 7:20 PM, an ambulance was called to the scene and provided assistance to the girls. The investigative group found that they fell from the ride during its operation. The injured were hospitalized.

"Approximately at 19:20 [...] a report was received from the ambulance team about the injury of two girls aged 14 and 15 in Dnipro Park Kremenchuk. The investigative group established that the minors fell from the ride 'Lavka'. The injured were hospitalized," the police statement says.

Investigation for Violating Labor Safety Regulations

Following this incident, the police initiated a criminal investigation for violating labor safety regulations that led to serious consequences. Details of the incident are being investigated by the Poltava regional prosecutor's office. According to their data, during the operation of the ride, the safety barrier opened, causing the children to fall. Medical staff are determining the severity of the injuries sustained.

"Minors were riding the 'Lavka' amusement ride. When the ride accelerated, the safety barrier opened, and the children fell to the ground. They are currently in the hospital. The severity of the bodily injuries is being determined," the prosecutor's office stated.

Other Incidents on Amusement Rides

Local Telegram channels also reported a similar incident where a metal arc on an amusement ride opened, causing injuries to visitors. It is worth reminding that in March of this year, rescuers helped a woman with a child who got stuck on a ride in Zhytomyr. Fortunately, no one was harmed.

This incident in Kremenchuk is yet another example of why it is crucial to adhere to all safety requirements and technical standards when visiting amusement rides.
