Traffic will be closed in Lutsk on weekends: details

On May 30, Lutsk will host a nationwide event called 'Bike Day 2026', during which traffic will be temporarily closed on several central streets. The Lutsk City Council informed about this.

Where and when traffic will be closed in Lutsk

The restrictions will be in effect on Saturday, May 30, in two time intervals:

• from 09:15 to 10:10;

• from 11:00 to 12:00.

During this time, traffic will be stopped on the section from Parkova Street to Chopin Street.

A column of cyclists will be escorted by the patrol police of the Volyn region.

What the route of Bike Day 2026 will be

Participants will gather at 09:30 near the main building of the Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka.

The route of the bike column will pass through:

• Volya Avenue;

• Vynnychenka Street;

• Vasyl Moisey Avenue;

• Victory Avenue;

• Unity Avenue;

• Youth Avenue;

• Revival Avenue;

• Rivnenska Street;

• Kyiv Square.

The finish of the event will also take place near the main building of VNU named after Lesya Ukrainka.

'Bike Day' is traditionally held in many cities of Ukraine to promote cycling and an active lifestyle.

The city council urged residents to participate in the event and to consider the temporary changes in traffic organization in advance.

It should be noted that in Lutsk there may be an increase in the fare for urban minibuses from 18 to 24 UAH.
