Trolleybus routes will change in Lviv on June 10-11 due to repair work
In Lviv, on June 10 and 11, the routes of trolleybuses No. 22, No. 23, and No. 25 will temporarily change due to repair work on Stryiska Street, where the road surface is being updated at the entrance to the city. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Which trolleybuses will change routes
During the resurfacing, the movement of electric transport will be limited on certain sections of Stryiska Street.
Trolleybus No. 23 will temporarily operate on the route "Ryashivska - Khutorivka", while route No. 25 will follow the scheme "Shota Rustaveli - Khutorivka".
Both routes will not reach their usual final stops and will be shortened to the Khutorivka area.
How trolleybus No. 22 will operate
A mixed operation mode will be introduced on route No. 22.
Some trolleybuses with autonomous drive will continue to operate unchanged on the route "University - Bus Station".
Other vehicles will temporarily turn around at the stop "Pidstryhacha" and will operate on the route "University - Pidstryhacha".
The city transport management specified that approximately six trolleybuses will serve the full route, while another six will operate on a shortened schedule.
Repairs on Stryiska will last several weeks
Work on Stryiska Street began on June 9. The contracting company is replacing the asphalt surface on the section from St. John Paul II Avenue to the borders of Lviv.
The first stage of the repairs will last approximately three weeks. After completing the work on the highway, they plan to arrange a separate lane for public transport in each direction.
At the same time, bus routes and private transport will continue to operate unchanged, as the work is being carried out alternately on separate lanes of the road.
It is worth noting that an event in support of the rights of the LGBTQ+ community took place in downtown Lviv on June 7, during which the organizers held a symbolic wedding ceremony for two women.
