In Lviv, the road in the center will be closed for a month due to repairs

In Lviv, starting May 8, part of Vynychenka Street will be closed due to large-scale road surface repairs. The work is expected to last about a month and will affect traffic in the city center. This is reported by Tvoe Misto.

Closure in Lviv: which section will be closed

Traffic will be restricted on the section from Lysenka Street to Kryvonoсa Street. This is an important segment for bypassing the central part of the city, so the changes may cause traffic jams.

City council explains that the road condition has significantly deteriorated after winter, so repairs are necessary.

Repair of Vynychenka Street: what will be done

During the work, a complete renewal of the road surface and organization of infrastructure is planned.

In particular, the following is foreseen:

• full asphalt coverage

• repair of sidewalks

• organization of parking

• arrangement of safety islands.

The total area of repair is over 3,000 square meters.

Bypass in the center of Lviv: how traffic will change

During the closure, drivers will be offered an alternative route. Access to Kryvonoсa and Zamkova streets will be organized via Lysenka with subsequent movement along Mykhlukho-Maklaia and Hutsulskyi streets.

Residents and drivers are urged to plan their routes in advance and consider the restrictions.

The repairs will be carried out by the contracting organization LLC 'Shlyakhovyk'. They plan to complete the work approximately by June 8.

The temporary closure will create inconveniences for transport, but after the repairs are completed, the street will become safer and more comfortable for traffic.
