In Lviv, starting from June 15, the number of buses on several city routes will be temporarily reduced. The city council explains that the decision is related to a decrease in passenger traffic during the summer holidays and vacation season, as well as the need to conduct technical maintenance of the rolling stock. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.

The number of buses in Lviv will be reduced by 14 units

According to LKA TP No. 1, starting from mid-June, the daily output of transport will be reduced by 14 buses. This represents approximately 5.7% of the total number of vehicles that operate on the routes daily.

The company notes that the released transport will be used for carrying out planned repairs, preventive works, and technical maintenance.

The purpose of such measures is to prepare the buses for more intensive operation in autumn, when the passenger traffic traditionally increases after the end of the holidays.

Which Lviv routes will operate with changes

On weekdays, there will be one unit of transport less on routes No. 1A, No. 3A, No. 9, No. 16, No. 18, No. 20, No. 32, No. 37, No. 40, No. 46, No. 47A, and No. 52.

The biggest changes will affect route No. 92, where the number of buses will be reduced by two units.

Also, some restrictions will apply on Sundays. On routes No. 9 and No. 18, there will be two fewer buses operating on each direction.

Passengers are advised to consider new intervals of movement

The city council warns that due to the reduction in the number of transport on certain routes, the intervals of movement may increase.

Residents and guests of Lviv are asked to take the changes into account when planning trips around the city, especially during peak hours.

The authorities emphasize that the reduction is temporary and is related solely to seasonal transportation features and technical maintenance of the bus fleet.
