In Lviv, the routes of four bus lines have been changed due to road repairs
In Lviv, on July 25 and 26, the routes of four bus lines were temporarily changed. The reason was the asphalting of a section of Trakt Hlynyansky Street, which was completely closed to traffic during the works. The restrictions affected connections with Vynnyky, Lysynychi, and Pidbirtsi. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
How buses operated in Lviv on July 25-26
Buses No. 18 and No. 23 traveled from Subotivska Street only to the intersection of Trakt Hlynyansky and Bohdanivska Streets. Beyond that, the usual route was impossible due to the closed section.
Temporary routes looked like this:
-
No. 18 and No. 23: Subotivska Street, intersection of Trakt Hlynyansky and Bohdanivska Streets;
-
No. 29: Vynnyky, Lysynychi, microdistrict "Provesin";
-
No. 61: Pidbirtsi, Vynnyky, Pidbirtsi.
Two buses were added to route No. 29. This was supposed to help maintain the usual intervals and compensate for the increased travel length through Vynnyky and Lysynychi.
Where traffic was closed on Trakt Hlynyansky Street
A section of Trakt Hlynyansky Street between Bohdanivska and Bihova Streets was closed for all types of transport. Contractors were laying the top layer of asphalt concrete pavement here.
The city authorities advised drivers to change their entry and exit routes from Lviv in advance. Among the proposed routes were Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, Zelenyi Street, and Striiska Street, as well as the road through the village of Zubra.
Asphalting was the final stage of the current repair of Trakt Hlynyansky, which had been ongoing since late May. Earlier, sidewalks were repaired, an emergency section of the water supply was replaced, curbs were installed, and the old pavement was milled.
Changes for buses were announced only for July 25-26. The city council did not issue a separate notice regarding the continuation of the closure for Monday, July 27.
It is worth noting that passengers of Lviv transport simplified the process with electronic tickets in LeoCard.
