During her visit to the Czech Republic, Ilona Havronska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, met with representatives of the Czech Ministry of Interior to discuss issues concerning the Ukrainian community in the country. There are nearly 390,000 Ukrainians in temporary protection status in the Czech Republic, and the upcoming Unity Center in Prague will aimed at providing support and services to this group of citizens.

In her statement, Ilona Havronska emphasized that the goal of the Unity Center in Prague is to provide Ukrainians with the necessary assistance tailored to their needs, without duplicating existing services in the Czech Republic. Additionally, as part of her visit to the future premises of the center and a meeting with the local Ukrainian community, Ilona Havronska also visited the organization Pražský Majdan, which has been actively supporting Ukrainians in the Czech Republic since 2014.
