In Mykolaiv, public transport fares will increase from April 27

In Mykolaiv, they are preparing to raise the fare in minibuses starting from April 27. The relevant draft decisions have been published on the city council's website. This is reported by the city council of Mykolaiv.

Fares in Mykolaiv: what prices are being proposed

According to the documents, the fare will depend on the distance of the trip. The city proposes to set the following prices:

• up to 10 km — 18 UAH;

• over 10 km — 20 UAH.

For certain remote areas, higher tariffs will apply:

• Varvarivka — 20 UAH;

• Matviyivka — 25 UAH;

• Velyka Korenyha — 25 UAH;

• Mala Korenyha — 30 UAH.

Changes are foreseen within the framework of nine draft decisions of the executive committee, which concern various carriers in the city.

Cost of travel for schoolchildren: what will remain unchanged

For students in grades 1-12, the payment conditions will not change. They will still be able to use the discount:

• 50% of the fare;

• period of validity — from September 1 to June 1;

• mandatory possession of a student card.

It is expected that the new tariffs will be introduced after the relevant decisions are approved by the executive committee.

Earlier in Ukraine, an increase in transport fares in public transport was recorded due to rising fuel costs, spare parts, and maintenance. Mykolaiv may become another regional center where tariffs will be reviewed soon.
