Ukraine to Become a Manufacturer of Electric Buses for the EU: What the Ministry of Development Plans

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: Representatives of the German analytical center Berlin Economics met at the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture. Present at the meeting were Senior Consultant on Energy and Climate Policy Pavlo Bilek, Analyst Yigit Tahmisoglu, and Deputy Minister Marina Denisyuk.

The main topic of discussion was the modernization of public transport to reduce emissions. Ukraine is being considered as a potential strategic partner for the EU in the development of ecological urban transport.

"The development of ecological transport is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Development," emphasized Marina Denisyuk.

Special attention was paid to the launch of the research project "Sector Strategy for Developing the Production of Electrified Public Transport in Ukraine." The results of the Berlin Economics study can contribute to decision-making regarding the green transition and the restoration of the Ukrainian industry.

During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation with German experts in the field of energy efficiency and ecology, as well as the production of environmentally friendly vehicles, were discussed. The implementation of joint projects aims to introduce modern technologies and standards in the field of environmental protection in Ukraine.
