Netherlands: 27 deaths from counterfeit drugs due to illegal online store
According to glavcom.ua: In the Netherlands, an investigation has begun into the deaths of at least 27 people from poisoning, likely as a result of taking counterfeit sedatives and sleeping pills purchased through an illegal online store. Two residents of Limburg sold the drugs without having the necessary license to trade in potent medications.
These substances can be dangerous if misused, leading to fatal consequences for at least 27 individuals. Even several teenagers were among the buyers of these deadly drugs.
Deceased Paralympic Games 2020 Champion
Interestingly, the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games champion, Australian cyclist Paige Greco, passed away at the age of 28.
This was reported by the press service of the Cycling Federation of Australia. Greco was a three-time world champion in track cycling and the winner of the 2019 world championship in road cycling. At the Games, the Australian also won two bronze medals.
An investigation has been launched in the Netherlands concerning the deaths from counterfeit drugs that can be life-threatening, while the sports world marks the death of Paralympic Games 2020 champion cyclist Paige Greco.
