In Poltava on June 18, public transport operations were temporarily changed due to an emergency power outage at the traction substation. Due to the lack of electricity, trolleybuses cannot operate to the Levada microdistrict, and in various parts of the city, hundreds of addresses are left without power. This is reported by the Poltava City Council, writes Suspilne.

Why trolleybuses do not operate to Levada

One of the traction substations providing electric transport has lost power due to an accident on the power lines.

As a result, trolleybus route No. 12 has been temporarily shortened.

Currently, transport only operates to the South Railway Station and does not travel to the Levada microdistrict.

Other trolleybus routes in Poltava continue to operate as usual without changes.

Hundreds of addresses in Poltava left without electricity

According to JSC 'Poltavaoblenergo', emergency power outages began on the night of June 18.

The first outages were recorded around 01:23, and by 04:30, the list of consumers without electricity had significantly expanded.

Hundreds of houses and facilities in various parts of the city are left without power.

Energy workers are working on eliminating the consequences of the accident and restoring electricity supply.

Russian attack damaged the energy infrastructure of the region

The head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Dyakivnych, reported that Russian troops attacked Poltava region during the night.

Poltava and Myrhorod districts came under fire.

As a result of the shelling, one person was injured. Also, enterprises, a residential building, and an energy infrastructure facility were damaged.

Currently, specialists continue restoration work and clarify the scale of the damage caused.

Recall that the arsonist Chepurka from Poltava was detained for making a terrorist threat.
