Oleksii Stoliarenko: A Rescue Worker's Fatal Sacrifice

According to ДСНС: Andriy Danyk, the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, has confirmed the death of 30-year-old rescuer Oleksii Stoliarenko in Sumy. He was responding to a blaze sparked by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle when a structural collapse buried him beneath a concrete slab. Despite doctors' efforts, his injuries proved fatal.

Stoliarenko served as shift supervisor of the rapid response department at the regional emergency management center of the SESU Main Directorate in Sumy Oblast. He leaves behind his wife and a young daughter.

Danyk offered condolences, saying: "Today we have lost more than just a rescuer. We have lost a brother-in-arms, a friend, a colleague. Oleksii, like our other fallen colleagues, gave his life while saving others."
