According to ХВИЛЯ: Fraudulent posts impersonating the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) are currently being shared across Telegram. These deceptive messages contain misleading content and urge users to subscribe to counterfeit channels. The PFU has officially denied sending any messages via messaging apps and warns that these posts are designed to mislead the public.

The scams threaten recipients with the loss of payments and discounts if they ignore the messages. Scammers also pressure users to select their employment history and follow suspicious channels that lead to phishing websites. Previously, fraudsters lured pensioners with false promises of a 20% bonus on behalf of the PFU, using these offers to trap victims.

Reliable Sources for Pension Information

All authentic updates from the Pension Fund of Ukraine are published on their official website and verified social media accounts, including Telegram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), WhatsApp, YouTube, and Viber. If anyone encounters cybercrime or fraud attempts, the PFU advises reporting these incidents directly to the cyber police through electronic submissions.
