According to glavcom.ua: On September 3, a temperature record was recorded in Ternopil. This is the warmest day in 41 years. The previous highest indicator was observed in 1984. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing 'Suspilne'.

'On September 3, the historical temperature maximum was exceeded. It was 29.9 degrees Celsius. The previous record value was observed in 1984 and amounted to 28.6 degrees Celsius', - said the forecaster of the Ternopil Hydro-Meteorological Center Volodymyr Tsaryk.

Due to the warm weather in the village of Zhovnivka of the Berezhany community, apple trees have bloomed again. Ruslan Yavorivskyy, an assistant at the Department of Botany and Zoology of the Ternopil Pedagogical University, explained why this is happening and what the consequences of this phenomenon are.

'This is a global warming problem, which prolongs the vegetation period of the plant organism, allowing it to bloom again. Another important aspect is stress. The plant organism can experience it under the influence of many ecological factors. These can be factors of moisture deficiency. This is also a stress factor that can cause repeated flowering. So there is a whole range of reasons, and it all depends on each species'

.

According to the scientist, the substances that the plant ideally should use to prepare for winter are spent on repeated flowering. Earlier, Ukrainian climatologist, member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, Svitlana Krakovska, reported that by the middle of the century, the duration of summer in Ukraine could increase to 150-180 days a year. Air temperature will also constantly rise, so in one of the regions, even a desert will appear.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, it snowed on Independence Day. Ukrainians actively shared videos of atypical summer weather on social networks. It snowed in the Carpathians, and the air temperature in the highlands sharply dropped to +2°C.

Ternopil recorded the warmest day in the last 41 years, with a maximum temperature of 29.9°C. Warming has its consequences in the plant world, causing repeated flowering and the expenditure of nutrients necessary for preparing for winter.
