In Uman, security is being strengthened for Rosh Hashanah: what is prohibited during the holidays

The police of Uman have begun enhanced security measures for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah. Oleg Hudima, the head of the Cherkasy region police, emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order and safety in the city, preparing for any possible situations.A reinforced police unit will be deployed in the city, including patrol police, dog handlers, explosives experts, and investigative operational groups. The sale of pyrotechnics and alcohol will also be restricted in pilgrimage areas. Checkpoints and video surveillance will be installed near the pilgrimage quarter to ensure safety.The arrival of Hasidim in Uman for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah is ongoing, and it is planned that a total of about 50 thousand pilgrims will visit the city. Ukraine and Israel have jointly developed a security plan to ensure the safety of these believers.
