In Zaporizhzhia, tram routes will change for a week

In Zaporizhzhia, from February 22 to 27, the routes of electric transport will be partially changed due to repair works. Restrictions will be in effect every day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

During the specified period, individual sections of the contact network will be de-energized. In particular, tram No. 3 will not operate along the stretch from the Bus Station to the Zaporizhzhia-1 Railway Station on Soborny Avenue. Changes will also affect trolleybuses No. 3, No. 8, and No. 14 along the stretch from the Mahara Theater to the Zaporizhzhia-1 station and to School No. 70.

Changes in electric transport operations in Zaporizhzhia: which routes are adjusted

During the disconnection traffic will be organized along alternative routes:

• Tram No. 3 will operate from Left Zaporizhzhia via Universitetskaya Street to the Central Market;

• Trolleybuses No. 3 and No. 8 will go from Zaporizhzhia Square via Zaporizhzhia-2 station;

• Trolleybus No. 14 will operate from the Embankment to Zaporizhzhia-2 station.

Repair works in Zaporizhzhia: how trolleybuses will operate

On routes No. 3, No. 8, and No. 14 during this period, only trolleybuses with autonomous drive will be involved. The schedule will remain in effect according to the current timetable, however, passengers are advised to take possible delays due to technical work into account.

The city council clarified that the restrictions are related to planned repairs of the contact network. After the works are completed, electric transport will return to regular routes.

It is worth noting that in Zaporizhzhia, a digital transport card called “Sich General” has been implemented, allowing payment for public transport directly via smartphone.
