A new military unit has appeared in the structure of the seventh rapid response corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade, which will be armed with modern Western artillery systems for hitting targets at long distances with precision up to one meter and the use of unmanned systems.

The commander of the military unit will be Colonel Viktor Dovhal, head of artillery in the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade, who has been fighting since 2014 and is a full cavalier of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

It is stated in the announcement that the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade is staffed by experienced paratroopers who have extensive combat experience and are ready for new tasks.

Commanders of the Air Assault Forces and Unmanned Systems Forces

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has appointed Oleg Apostol as the new commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleg Apostol replaced the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Valentyn Manko, who now heads the Assault Forces Command in the Armed Forces.

Moreover, the new commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is Robert Brovdii 'Madyar', known for his 'Madyar's Birds', which have become an excellent example of the effective use of drones in the Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces have received a new artillery brigade and new commanders. This is a step towards improving combat readiness and modernizing Ukrainian military units.
