Firefighting in Mukachevo

According to glavcom.ua: Currently, firefighting is ongoing in Mukachevo, which ignited after a strike from Russia on August 21. This is reported by the State Emergency Service referencing 'Glavkom'.

At the scene, 54 rescuers and 15 units of equipment are working, along with two fire trains from 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.

Rescuers claim that as a result of the shelling, 21 people were injured. However, the head of the Transcarpathian OVA, Myroslav Biletsky, reported on August 21 that the number of injured has risen to 23 people.

It is reminded that at night, a Russian missile struck a large American electronics manufacturing plant in Mukachevo. According to the Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, the enemy wanted to 'deprive' Ukraine of coffee machines.

Moreover, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban offered to accept the injured in his country following the attack on Mukachevo.

It is also worth noting that after the missile strike on the Flex enterprise in Mukachevo, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Andriy Hunder, reached out to U.S. President Donald Trump. He emphasized that Transcarpathia was previously considered a safe region due to its location near the EU, but the situation has changed as a result of the recent attack.
