“Mykolaiv. Once again, Shahed drones are targeting the energy infrastructure. As of now, no casualties.” – Vitaliy Kim
Preliminary reports indicate no injuries from this attack.
The previous day, three people were hurt due to a drone strike and falling debris:
- A 35-year-old man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds and is in stable condition.
- Two women experienced acute stress reactions and received on-site medical assistance.
At least five apartment buildings, two private homes, and six vehicles were damaged. Several fires broke out but were quickly extinguished by emergency responders.
Situation in the Mykolaiv District
In the Mykolaiv district, Russian forces launched six FPV drone attacks against the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. In the village of Dmytrivka, a private home’s roof was damaged, but no casualties were reported there.
These events highlight the ongoing tension in the region and the continuation of military operations affecting civilians and infrastructure. Targeting energy infrastructure is part of a warfare strategy aimed at destabilizing cities and villages, as well as undermining public morale. The situation remains challenging, and local authorities continue to do everything possible to ensure residents’ safety and restore damaged infrastructure.
The ongoing conflict continues to impact the region's infrastructure significantly. In a related incident, recent shelling has left Mykolaivka without gas, as damaged networks have disrupted supply in the Donetsk region. These developments underscore the broader implications of military actions on civilian life and essential services.
