According to Зеленський: Ukraine is preparing a new prisoner exchange, and for this, Rustem Umerov is holding key meetings in Turkey. These negotiations aim to resume prisoner exchanges that had intensified last year but slowed down towards the end of the year. Umerov met with the Turkish Foreign Minister as well as with representatives of the country's intelligence services, highlighting the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey on this issue.
Planned Meetings in Early January
In early January, important meetings are scheduled in Ukraine that may also influence the prisoner exchange process. In particular, on January 3, a meeting of national security advisors is expected, with representatives from 15 countries, European institutions, and NATO anticipated to participate. This meeting will serve as a platform to discuss security guarantees and peace in Ukraine.
