Ukraine prepares for screening on Eurointegration in the agricultural sector

At the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, a meeting was held with representatives of dairy industry associations regarding the country's accession to the EU.

Meeting participants discussed the state of the dairy industry and the adaptation of Ukraine's legislation to European requirements.

Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk emphasized the importance of preparing for the screening that will take place in September. He also pointed out the need to consider the opinion of the dairy sector regarding the implementation of Ukrainian legislation according to European standards.

Screening is the first step towards Ukraine's accession to the EU. The results of this process will help the country understand the next steps on the path to Eurointegration. It is also important to consider the interests of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex, particularly the dairy sector,' - explained Denys Bashlyk.

According to information from the Ministry, the official screening regarding Ukraine's accession to the EU will take place from September 8 to 10, 2025.

The meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development was dedicated to discussing Ukraine's preparation for the screening regarding EU accession in the negotiation chapter 11 'Agriculture and Rural Development'. Meeting participants heard a report on the state of the dairy industry and the importance of harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with European standards. All this is taking place as part of the preparation for the official screening scheduled for September 2025.
