According to Главком: The Ukrainian defense industry announced the start of the selection of candidates for the positions of independent members of the supervisory boards of six key enterprises. The selection process will last until December 31, 2025. This decision aims to improve management efficiency in important sectors of the defense industry.

Candidate Selection Areas

The selection of candidates will take place in six areas:

• aerospace engineering
• manufacturing of radar technology
• production of ammunition and special chemistry
• manufacturing of transport vehicles
• production of armored vehicles
• shipbuilding

To participate in the competition, candidates must have experience in corporate governance, human resources management, as well as in the field of high-tech engineering.

In addition, on December 23, the State Audit Office began a large-scale audit of the defense sector. Among the enterprises of interest to auditors are armored plant factories in Kharkiv, Lviv, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr. This audit is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the activities of defense enterprises in Ukraine.

The initiative to select independent members of supervisory boards and conduct an audit in the defense sector indicates the Ukrainian government's desire for modernization and increased management efficiency in critical sectors.

This may also be a response to the challenges faced by the country in the context of security threats, which enhances the significance of transparency and accountability in the activities of defense enterprises.
