Prime Minister Serhii Koretsky confirmed the receipt of these funds, emphasizing that they will be directed toward urgent military needs.
Previously, Ukraine received €3.47 billion in installments from the EU, alongside €3.9 billion specifically allocated for supporting the Ukrainian armed forces and defense sector. On June 25, another €3.2 billion was funneled into the national budget as part of the same financial aid initiative. Deputy Minister of Economy Svyrydenko reported that the total amount granted through the Ukraine Support Loan has now reached €7 billion.
Advancing Drone Technology to Enhance Defense
The European Commission has also committed the first €3.9 billion toward cutting-edge drone technologies aimed at boosting Ukraine’s defense capabilities. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen highlighted this funding as a pivotal move in strengthening Ukraine’s military potential.
“We continue collaborating with European partners to ensure the remaining funds arrive promptly and in full,” stated Serhii Koretsky.
