According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine has received two Patriot missile defense systems that are currently providing protection for cities and critical infrastructure. These modern air defense systems are capable of effectively countering various aerial threats, including aircraft, cruise and ballistic missiles.

The Patriot systems have high effectiveness in combatting aerial targets, particularly they are capable of hitting hypersonic missiles such as 'Zircon' and 'Dagger', which reach speeds of up to 11,000 and 16,000 km/h respectively. This allows Ukraine to significantly enhance its defense capabilities, especially in the face of modern military threats.

Capabilities of the Patriot system

The systems can destroy aerial targets at altitudes of up to 24 km and at distances of up to 160 km. Thanks to their versatility, multitasking, and automation, Patriot systems have become an important element in ensuring the country's security. The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, noted that obtaining these systems became possible due to agreements with the government of Germany.
