Ukraine received billions of euros from the EU and other partners

According to Офіс реформ: From December 20 to 26, Ukraine received significant financial support from partners, highlighting international solidarity during this difficult time. The European Union provided Ukraine with €2.3 billion in the sixth regular tranche under the Ukraine Facility program. In addition, Germany contributed over €160 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, while Sweden added €63.8 million to strengthen the energy sector.

Medium-term strategy and eRecovery program

The Ukrainian government also adopted the Medium-term Debt Management Strategy for 2026-2028. As part of the eRecovery program, it is planned to allocate another UAH 8.8 billion for financing housing certificates. At the same time, the government simplifies the procedures for transferring energy equipment to stabilize electricity supply in wartime conditions. In addition, expenses for institutions that temporarily accommodate internally displaced persons (IDPs) for free will be compensated.

This financial support from international partners is critically important for Ukraine as the country continues to grapple with the consequences of the war and economic challenges. Assistance in the energy sector and the eRecovery program aim not only to aid in infrastructure recovery but also to ensure stability for the population during the crisis. Support from the EU, Germany, and Sweden demonstrates continued international solidarity with Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict.
