Mine clearance of territories: achievements for August

The Ministry of Defense reported that in August, explosive devices were removed from over 5,973 hectares of de-occupied territories, which is an important step for the safety of civilian residents.

In total, over 5,653 hectares of agricultural land, more than 7 kilometers of roads, over 15 kilometers of power lines, and almost 67 kilometers of railways were cleared. Additionally, over 9 hectares of water bodies were neutralized.

• A total of 8,410 explosive devices were discovered and destroyed during the month.
• Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, over 458 thousand dangerous items have been eliminated.

It was also clarified that currently, there are 119 certified mine action operators in Ukraine, of which nine specialists were certified in August.

In August, mine clearance units achieved significant results by removing explosive devices from a substantial area of territories, which increased the safety of residents and facilitated the restoration of the infrastructure of de-occupied lands.
