Ukraine has begun payments of 6500 hryvnias: who will receive winter assistance

One-time assistance payments in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine has started making one-time assistance payments of 6500 hryvnias under the 'Winter Support' program for vulnerable categories of citizens. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydnenko announced the start of these payments, which are aimed at various groups of the population in need of support.

Currently, 323,443 people have applied for funds. The application deadline is until December 17, 2025, giving many citizens the opportunity to take advantage of this program. Assistance is provided to:

• children in care,
• children with disabilities,
• children of internally displaced persons (IDPs),
• low-income families,
• people with disability group I,
• lonely pensioners.

Funds received can be used for the purchase of clothing, footwear, medicines, and vitamins. It is important to note that the duration of use of these funds is 180 days from the moment they are credited. This will provide support to vulnerable categories of citizens during the winter period when they especially need assistance.
