Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi during the Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine in Rome. Zelensky expressed gratitude for the support and emphasized the importance of protecting the infrastructure of nuclear energy for the country's security.

In the presence of the president, Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Haluschenko and IAEA Director General signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in supporting the country's recovery.

According to the agreement, the IAEA guarantees safety during the completion of construction of units at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant and will assist in exploration, extraction, and production of uranium resources in Ukraine to strengthen the country's energy security.

The Ukrainian president met with the IAEA Director General in Rome, where they discussed cooperation in nuclear energy, including ensuring safety at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant and exploration of uranium resources in Ukraine.
