Ukraine-Germany Defense Agreement

According to Главком: A new defense pact between Ukraine and Germany, centered on merging technological capabilities, has been signed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the agreement during a Ramstein group meeting. The discussions primarily covered:

  • strengthening Ukraine's air defense systems,
  • supplying Patriot missile systems,
  • and providing anti-ballistic missiles.

The groundwork for this meeting was laid during talks with NATO's Secretary General and Germany's Defense Minister. As a result of the Ramstein session, Ukraine is set to receive over $5.5 billion in aid by April 2026. Of this total, $4 billion is allocated to bolster air defenses, while more than $1.5 billion will go toward purchasing drones.
