Ukraine and Britain are creating a coalition of studies: what will change in education
Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed new memoranda to integrate British universities into the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybyha emphasized that the history of Ukraine has often been written abroad, but now is the time to bring it home and view the country through its own eyes.
Ukrainians are building a strong foundation for a shared intellectual and humanitarian space with their British friends, which will foster cooperation, peace, and progress. First Lady Olena Zelenska emphasized that the initiative expands the study of the Ukrainian language, culture, and resistance towards all aspects of the struggle for freedom and identity.
It is also important to learn to distinguish truth from lies, counter manipulation, and move forward by going beyond the ideas imposed from abroad, forming one’s own views based on knowledge.
Summary
The signing of new memoranda between Ukraine and Great Britain once again confirms the desire of both countries to establish cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and humanitarian relations. This is also an important step in strengthening Ukrainian identity and contributes to the fight against misinformation and authoritarian regimes in the modern world.
