The Rostov terminal sits approximately 250 kilometers from the front line, while the other targets lie 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine's state border-far inside Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the operation via social media, stating that “our long-range sanctions worked in the Rostov region tonight.”

Just a night earlier, on July 26, units from the Main Intelligence Directorate's Unmanned Systems Department hit a launcher and a 96L6 radar station of an S-400 Triumph air defense system in occupied Crimea. These back-to-back strikes highlight Ukraine's growing ability to project force deep into enemy-held areas, putting pressure on Russian military infrastructure far beyond the front lines.

Zelensky underscored the importance of these operations, saying: “I thank our warriors of the Ukrainian defense forces for their precise work there, in what was until recently deep Russian rear territory.
