Ukraine to Offer 50,000 Hryvnias to Youth Returning from Deportation: Eligibility Details

Discussions on Resettlement Aid for Youth

According to Міністерство соц. політики: Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, Tetiana Kyriienko, has addressed the provision of resettlement aid for young people who have returned from deportation, along with a support plan for this group. The one-time financial assistance will amount to 50,000 hryvnias and is intended for youth aged 18 to 23. This initiative is part of broader efforts to support Ukrainians affected by the ongoing war.

The discussion took place during a meeting of the expert council under the Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for the Rights of Citizens Affected by Armed Aggression. The program's target group includes youth who have returned from deportation, forced displacement, or from temporarily occupied territories. A key development is that, starting in October 2025, the support program will be expanded to include youth aged 18 to 23.

“From October 2025, the support program will also be extended to youth aged 18 to 23. At the same time, a support system must be established to provide conditions for continuing education and to prevent a child from returning to occupied territory.”

During the meeting, participants also discussed the status of organizing the 2026 admissions campaign for individuals from temporarily occupied territories.
