Artemy Lebedev's Apartment Goes Under the Hammer

According to Главком: On June 30, the State Property Fund of Ukraine will auction off an apartment belonging to Russian designer Artemy Lebedev, which has been seized as state revenue. The 138.5-square-meter property is located at 8 Yaroslaviv Val Street in Kyiv, with a starting price set at 10,583,400 hryvnias.

The apartment was confiscated by court order. Lebedev has been banned from entering Ukraine since 2017, a restriction imposed after he illegally visited the Russian-occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast. The designer has twice attempted to challenge this ban but was denied each time.

Lebedev Studio's Work in Ukraine

Lebedev's studio, known for a wide range of design projects, created the logo for the city of Odesa and designed the Ocean Plaza shopping center in Kyiv. The aforementioned apartment on Yaroslaviv Val will be put up for auction on June 30.

“Its starting price is 10,583,400 hryvnias,” said Dmytro Natalukha.

This auction reflects Ukraine's policy toward assets linked to individuals who have violated Ukrainian law or have ties to the aggressor state. It also underscores the government's decision to return such real estate to economic circulation, which could serve as an important step for replenishing the budget. In the context of the ongoing war and sanctions against Russia, these actions may signal a strong commitment to Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
