From a Ukrainian Resort to a Global Investment Opportunity

According to УНІАН — Туризм: For the first time, Ukraine made its presence felt at the AIM Congress in Dubai, a premier international investment forum for Gulf countries. Represented solely by the BUKOVEL company, Ukraine showcased its promising prospects as a destination for tourism and investment. BUKOVEL’s delegation focused on demonstrating Ukraine’s capacity to develop tourism infrastructure, attract capital, and execute large-scale projects.

As Eastern Europe’s largest year-round mountain resort, BUKOVEL unveiled its strategic investment initiatives, including:

  • the themed entertainment park BUKOLAND;
  • the expansion of its own energy infrastructure.

The BUKOLAND concept envisions a mountain amusement park featuring themed zones, along with comprehensive entertainment and hotel facilities. In addition, plans are underway to establish a modern high-voltage power network to support the resort’s growing energy needs.

During the AIM Congress, BUKOVEL co-owner Zakhar Palytsia met with Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi to discuss Ukraine’s tourism potential and avenues for international cooperation. Palytsia emphasized:

'Our goal is to introduce Ukraine to the world through tourism, highlighting not only its unique natural beauty and cultural heritage but also its capacity to host major modern projects, attract investment, and build sustainable businesses. Tourism development generates jobs, boosts related industries, and creates new economic growth points. This vision guides the future growth of BUKOVEL and its significance for Ukraine.' Zakhar Palytsia

Ukraine’s participation at the AIM Congress, along with BUKOVEL’s project presentations, signals a growing international interest in developing the country’s tourism infrastructure and investment landscape. This engagement opens doors for global partnerships and foreign capital inflows, which are vital for Ukraine’s economic recovery following recent challenges. Increasing visibility on the world stage could accelerate the advancement of Ukraine’s tourism sector and enhance its appeal to investors, contributing to broader economic revitalization efforts.

As Ukraine's tourism sector gains momentum, recent developments have placed it under the oversight of the Ministry of Culture. This strategic move aims to enhance the management and promotion of tourism initiatives, aligning with BUKOVEL's objectives to attract investment and bolster infrastructure.
